Dedicated to Kamala Nehru, wife of the first Prime Minister of the independent India-Jawaharlal Nehru, a freedom activist and a social worker championing the cause of education of women, Kamala Nehru College became functional in the year 1968. The college went on to be named as “the Government College for women” to “Modern College for Women” to finally being called the Kamala Nehru College. The college is offering 869 seats for admissions this year and the faculty strength of the college is 105.

The college attracts some of the recruiting giants which include Wipro, Genpact and Capital IQ among others. A three day long annual festival titled Ullas gives students a chance to give a channel to their talent in the fields of dance, music, fashion and dramatics. Acharya Narendra Dev College

Acharya Narendra Dev College is one of the youngest colleges to be established under the Delhi University. Founded in the year 1991, the college is located in the Govindpuri area of the South Delhi. The uniqueness of the college lies in the fact that it is the only college in the Delhi University where prime focus is accorded to the courses in science.

The college is offering 545 seats to the students for admission this year. The faculty strength of the college is 96.

The college hosts an annual festival called Accenture and has several active clubs working for the all round development of the students. Besides, the college has five computer labs and a web centre. A modest canteen caters to the food requirements of the students
